Today I am thankful for...
1. quiet time alone. I have a hard time getting into it, because I like to have company. But tonight I was able to just go on a bike ride and go to the temple for a couple hours and enjoy my sunday evening. It was really relaxing and peaceful to just sit and think.
2. Goals. I have been encouraging a couple of my friends to make goals, and I have been meaning to do the same as well! Tonight I finally took the time to sit and write down some of my goals for this semester. I really feel like it will help me keep my focus and have something to work towards. I'm still learning how to make good goals that are measurable and specific, but how better to learn than to practice!!?
3. My ward. I recently moved and am now in the 2nd ward- and I'll admit I do miss my old ward quite a bit. However, sacrament meeting today was so amazing. There wasn't a single silent moment because people just kept getting up to bear their testimony and share their spirit with the ward, it was great. Also I really love my relief society. It is so inspired and I love it. I love that I get to be involved with making a mormonad and that my ideas were actually listened to and taken and how inclusive the girls are. It is so awesome and makes me want to help others feel the same way. :)
4. Tender mercies. All weekend I have been thinking about Brian and tonight at the temple he happened to shoot me a quick text to see how my weekend was. I wasn't expecting to hear from him at all, but it meant a lot to know I have found a real friend in him, and no matter what he will always care about me.
